Katja Herbers her parents are Oboist Werner Herbers and violinist Vera Beths. When she was a child, she accompanied her mother to America on tour with chamber music group L'Archibudelli. She met the theatre when her father, Leonie Poliak, and the cellist Annerbylsma got married. As a young girl, Herbers worked as a Canadian Au Pair, and she was fluent in Dutch German and English. Herbers went to the Ignatius Gymnasium which is located in Amsterdam. She studied Psychology within The University of Amsterdam.
